Rock out on your next vacation...

Thanks to Her Southern Heart... I have found my next vacation spot! Well I don't think you can really vaca there but look how beautiful this is...!

Clingstone Mansion, a house built over 103 years ago in Rhode Island's Narragansett Bays, sits out on a rock for all to see. This beautiful home sat abandoned for decades until Henry Wood, the owner, bought it in 1961.

The house has 23 rooms on 3 stories. The picture windows in every room give you views you would not believe. The house is maintained by an ingenious method: the Clingstone work weekend. Held every year around Memorial Day, it brings 70 or so friends and Clingstone lovers together to tackle jobs like washing all 65 of the windows. All workers welcome!

This house survives through the tender loving care of family and friends.
I say save the date for next Memorial Day weekend for a "work weekend" at
Clingstone Mansion!
